Catch Buyers At The Decision Moment.

Most ad inventory on the web is sold to people scrolling, browsing, killing time. WhichRanks readers are different — they're actively in the middle of a purchase decision. They've made it past the awareness stage. They're comparing brands. They're checking pricing. They're closer to clicking "buy" than a typical web visitor will ever be.

That's the audience your ad dollars are competing for, and it's the audience we deliver. Across eCommerce, VPN, travel, home goods, and 11 more categories, readers come to WhichRanks with intent and budget already in hand.

"Our editors don't write listicles for clicks. We write decision tools. That means our audience is already at the bottom of the funnel — and your ad is the last thing they see before purchasing."

Brands that advertise here include leading SaaS platforms, DTC consumer brands, hospitality companies, and security software vendors. Want to see the full list and current rates? Use the inquiry form below — we'll send a media kit within 2 business days.

What Advertising With Us Cannot Do.

The reason WhichRanks delivers high-intent audiences is the same reason our advertising program has clear, immovable boundaries: readers trust us because brands cannot pay for rankings. Every advertiser sees the same firewall — applied uniformly, without exceptions.

Our full editorial policy spells out the framework. Here are the rules every advertiser agrees to before we sign an insertion order.

  • Cannot buy a higher ranking. Not the #1 spot, not the top three, not "featured" status. Editorial rankings are locked before any commercial conversation begins.
  • Cannot pre-approve editorial coverage. Brands never see reviews or comparisons before publication. No editorial preview, no veto rights, no off-the-record edits.
  • Cannot influence verdicts. If you sponsor and our editorial team scores you 6.5/10, the published score is 6.5/10. Sponsorship doesn't bend the rubric.
  • Can purchase clearly-labeled visibility. Display ads, sponsored content, newsletter slots — all clearly labeled, all visible. Editorial coverage stays separate.
Editorial independence
The Framework Behind Every Deal
"Trust is the asset. Ads fund it — they don't compromise it."

Send Us An Inquiry.

Fill out the form and our partnerships team will send a full media kit within 2 business days. The media kit includes current rates, placement specifications, audience demographics, case studies, and availability for your category.

If you'd rather email directly, we're at ads@whichranks.com. For affiliate-specific inquiries (CJ, Impact, ShareASale), partners@whichranks.com goes to the same team.

  • 2-day response window. We respond to all inquiries within 2 business days with current rates and availability.
  • Full media kit included. Demographics, traffic data, placement specs, case studies, and proposal templates.
  • No pressure, no follow-up spam. One response with the materials. If you don't reply, we don't badger.
  • Transparent pricing. No "request a quote and wait three weeks." Current rates included upfront in the media kit.
By submitting, you understand that advertising with WhichRanks does not influence editorial rankings — see our editorial policy for the full independence framework. Routes to our partnerships team, not editorial.

Common Questions.

Eight questions brands ask most about advertising with WhichRanks. For anything not covered here, the inquiry form above goes directly to our partnerships team.

No — and this is non-negotiable. Brands cannot pay WhichRanks for better placement in our rankings, regardless of ad spend or partnership level. Our scoring is finalized before any commercial conversation begins, and editorial and commercial teams report to different leadership. This is the single biggest question brands ask, and the answer is the same one our editorial policy spells out: zero exceptions, ever. If you want better rankings, build a better product — we'll find you when we re-test the category.
It depends on format. Display banners start around $24 CPM with a typical monthly minimum of $3,000–$5,000. Newsletter sponsorships start at $3,200 per issue. Sponsored content starts at $8,500 per piece. Category sponsorships start at $12,000/month. Custom research projects start at $25,000. We're happy to work with brands at all of these levels — and we're also happy to suggest the right format for your budget on our intro call.
From inquiry submission to live campaign: typically 7–14 days. The breakdown: ~2 days from inquiry to media kit response, ~5 days for proposal review and insertion order signing, ~5–7 days for creative finalization and trafficking. For newsletter sponsorships, available slots typically range from 1–6 weeks out depending on demand. Sponsored content takes 3–4 weeks from kickoff to publication including editorial review.
Likely yes — and that's actually part of the appeal. Our reader is on a comparison page specifically to evaluate alternatives, so seeing your brand alongside the competition is high-context, high-intent exposure. We do offer category exclusivity for category sponsorships ($12K+/month) and newsletter sponsorships (one sponsor per issue), but we don't restrict standard display advertising by competitor — that would hurt our readers more than it helps you.
For display banners: impressions, click-through rate, viewable rate, conversions (via your UTM parameters or affiliate tracking). For sponsored content: page views, time on page, scroll depth, share counts, and click-through to your CTAs. For newsletter sponsorships: opens, clicks, CTR, and post-click engagement on your landing pages. Reporting is delivered weekly during active campaigns, with month-end summary including optimization recommendations.
Yes — we participate in standard affiliate networks including CJ Affiliate, Impact, ShareASale, and Awin. Our "Get Deal" buttons on category pages and reviews are typically affiliate-linked, clearly labeled. Important: affiliate commission rates do not influence which brands we rank highly. A lower-commission brand can rank above a higher-commission one, and frequently does. Our editorial policy Section 02 describes the firewall in detail.
Yes. Monthly campaigns can be paused or canceled with 14 days' written notice. Quarterly and annual commitments are governed by their specific insertion order terms — typically 30 days' notice for pausing, with prorated refunds. Sponsored content and custom research projects are flat-rate and non-refundable once production begins, but we can adjust scope or timing flexibly during the project window.
Brands across all 15+ categories we cover. Recent advertisers have included leading SaaS platforms (eCommerce, analytics, security software), DTC consumer brands (mattresses, sneakers, fashion), travel platforms, broadband providers, and B2B technology vendors. Specific brand examples and case studies are included in the full media kit — request it via the inquiry form above. Our partnerships team is happy to share references on intro calls for brands considering significant commitments ($50K+).
